Christmas Light up 2020 Ideas

Christmas is a joyful time to end the year. Proposing ideas for the 2020 Christmas light up was actually something new, working with Orchard Road Business Association (ORBA).

Every year there will be themes for the light up. I asked people around what would they want to see in the light-up and what elements they liked about the light-up. Mostly, people wanted to see characters such as Disney, however, the Disney theme was already implemented in the 2018 Light Up. So, I made some characters that were meant to be present during Christmas such as reindeer. Blue, white, and purple are the main colors people would want to see on the light up.

Santa Claus, on his sleigh together with the reindeer, is added to have the feel that Santa is visiting Singapore. Icebergs and snowflakes are added to give the cold feel when visitors enter into Orchard. In addition, small present boxes and goodies burst out from the big box creating a surprise feel for the people.

The street lamp consist of Reindeer, present boxes.

Along the streets of the Orchard decoration will be implemented. it will be a great place for the people to snap photos

One of the last few Decorations before entering into Dhoby Ghaut.

I was recognised for the work and effort that I have put in, however a tender must be given a company to do the decorations. Hopefully i can propose this to my internship if they are willing to do i still might have chance for designs to be displayed.
