Overseas Exposure
Overseas Immersion Programme
In September 2018, my school brought me to China through the Overseas Immersion Programme (OIP) to learn about the culture and the ways on how China does its business and production. Chinese History, calligraphy art and handicrafts art were taught to us. It was a really good opportunity for me to spend the school break in China and learned lots of new things and trying new food as well. Although, I had language barrier even though I can understand simple basic Chinese, I did not take that being a barrier but use that as an opportunity to further expand my knowledge on the language and culture. Meeting new people also allowed me to create new friendships
In June 2019, my school brought me to Taiwan through the Study Trip to learn about the culture and the ways on how Taiwan does its business and production. The trip was a good platform about learning and exploring the cities architecture and types art and products they sell and make. We were brought to see student's work at an exhibition. The students inspired me to do something similar. Overall, the trip was amazing form of relaxation taking a break from school work. After seeing the 3D Models being sold in the shop, i got the inspiration to do something similar.
